The proposed Lawson development project is a partnership between Community Living Toronto (CLTO) and Tridel, whose goal is to deliver an inclusive community that sets the standard for how organizations and home builders can partner to meet housing demand for all people.
This large-scale project seeks to custom build mixed-use housing, including affordable rental, independent living, supported living, and market condominium units. People with intellectual disabilities, supported by CLTO, will have an opportunity to live in an inclusive community.
Community Living Toronto’s vision for housing is one which strikes a balance between inclusion and impact – creating spaces where people with intellectual disabilities can be integrated into communities with diverse populations who have a varying level of abilities, creating a true sense of belonging.
About the Proposed Development:
- Community Living Toronto has been the steward of this property for decades.
- The ground-breaking project is an example of building “communities of belonging”. Developing vibrant neighbourhoods where people with intellectual disabilities are included is more important than ever.
- A new mixed-use, inclusive community that proposes residential (condominium and rental), office, commercial, program services, and public park uses.
- The development proposes five towers ranging in height from 28 to 52 storeys, with a total of approximately 2,200 residential units, of which approximately 280 will be rental units.
