Members of the Intentional Community Consortium (ICC), which brings together agencies that provide services to individuals with developmental disabilities, speak with reporters on Parliament Hill about the upcoming federal budget, the National Housing Strategy, and the need to increase the supportive housing supply. They are calling for federal budget investments that build upon the national housing strategy to ensure supports are included for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Participating in the news conference are agency CEOs Bryan Keshen (Reena, and founding member of the ICC), Brad Saunders (Community Living Toronto) and Claudine Cousins (Empower Simcoe). ICC members are taking part in a day-long event on Parliament Hill that includes meeting with MPs and representatives from the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. (no interpretation)
